U3A member David Sims gave a fascinating talk about his part in a twelve-man expedition to the previously unexplored territory of West New Britain, a volcanic island east of Papua New Guinea. We heard not only about his caving exploits during his three months stay but also the culture of the locals living in the village around base camp. It was certainly travel with a difference. |
