SINGING FOR FUN

Invitation to a Taster Session

All members and particularly YOU  the  reader, are invited to come to our next singing session and FREE taster.

Moira Hill our tutor is experienced, enthusiastic and extremely encouraging. The enjoyment between the group and tutor is mutual. Between 14 and 20 members attend each session.

Our repertoire is still developing and ranges across the many genres of song. Moira  chooses  an  interesting  cocktail which provides stimulation and challenge. The ingredients include international folk, traditional spiritual and blues, lullabies, freedom songs, and some golden oldies. After a singing session and fun and laughter we leave feeling invigorated and  impatient for the next session.

We meet at the Providence Church Hall, Mellor Rd, New Mills.

For further details contact me on 01663 749 150, or lindaharvey2008@btinternet.com, or just turn up on the day.

We look forward to sharing the session with you. Linda Harvey. PS.  Bring a friend if you would like to!

FREE TASTER SESSIONS
We have been singing for more than 2 years. During that time we have entertained the branch membership and sung at garden party events raising money for charity.

We don't use sheet music.

We don't hold auditions.

All you need is your natural voice and an enjoyment of singing and laughter.

Are any of these comments familiar to you?

“I can't sing"
"I was excluded from the school choir"
"My sister told me I couldn't sing so I gave up"
"My partner laughs and makes fun when I sing around the house"

At least 50% of the current group membership have said these things. For no previous singing experience is required by SfF and no need to read music either. If you enjoy a sing in the shower – that’s fine for us!  However you should be prepared to have fun and laugh quite a lot.
