MEETINGS WEEKLY

GENTLE T'AI CHI FOR HEALTH

Meets weekly 10am Thursdays except the last Thursday of each month at
St. George's Parish Church Hall, Church Lane,
New Mills. SK22 4NP


 

This group is intended for anyone looking for safe, effective, low impact exercise that isn't too physically taxing. If you have limited mobility for whatever reason, if you are concerned about poor balance,your memory, standing ( for even a short time ), breathlessness, etc. then this gentle slow movement is for you.
With practice T'ai Chi improves mobility and balance, building body awareness. It calms the mind reducing stress and building self confidence.
Every person is encouraged to work well within their comfort zone and ability with the option to remain seated throughout if that feels right.
No long complicated sequences to learn. No such thing as being 'No good at it'.
I aim to make these sessions effective, enjoyable and fun.
